Privacy Policy

SurvIQ is a survey and analytics platform. This policy applies to the SurvIQ web application and the data we process as part of the service.

Account data: name, email address, username, and profile photo (optional).

Content you create: the surveys you build (questions, logic, configuration) and the analytics dashboards you set up.

Survey responses: the answers people submit to your surveys. If you use unique-identifier links or a contact list, responses are linked to that contact; if you use a shared link, responses are anonymous by default.

Files and signatures: if your survey has file upload or signature questions, we store those files and the signature image in a private space. Only you and the people on your team with access to the survey can open them, after signing in, through links that expire after one hour. A file that is uploaded but never submitted with the survey is deleted after 24 hours, and deleting a response or a survey deletes its files. The signature is a drawing, not a certified electronic signature.

Visits to your surveys: to show you the completion rate, we count how many times each survey is opened, whether the person started answering and which page they reached. To recognize the same visit we use a random identifier stored in that person's browser. We don't store their IP address or anything that identifies them.

Distribution contacts: if you upload a contact list to distribute a survey (via unique links or email), we process that information (e.g. email, name) on your behalf, as a data processor — you remain the data controller for those contacts.

SMTP credentials: if you connect your own email account to send surveys from the platform, your password is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before being stored and is never exposed in plain text or sent to the browser.

Billing data: payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy — we only store your subscription identifier, never your card number.

Cookies and analytics: we use functional cookies, needed to keep you signed in and, if you share a password-protected dashboard, to remember authorized access. We also use the Google tag (Google Analytics and Google Ads) to understand how the site is used (pages visited, traffic sources) and to measure whether our Google ads lead to a sign-up. We don't share your name, your email, or the content of your surveys or responses with Google.

• To operate the platform: create and display your surveys, process and grade responses, generate your dashboards.
• To communicate with you about your account, service changes, or support you request.
• To send you SurvIQ news and offers, only if you opted in (see section 5).
• To measure the results of our ads (how many visits from an ad end in a new account).
• To process payments and manage your subscription, through Lemon Squeezy.
• To prevent abuse of the platform (e.g. sending limits, misuse detection).

We never use the content of your surveys, responses, or account data to train AI models, and we never share it with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We only share data with:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and storage provider. It hosts all of the platform's data.
• Lemon Squeezy — our payment processor, for subscriptions and credit purchases.
• Resend — our email delivery provider (email confirmation and, if you opted in, news and offers). It only receives your email address and name so it can send them.
• Google (Analytics and Ads) — to measure website usage and the results of our ads. It receives browsing data, not your name, your email, or your surveys.
• OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Anthropic (Claude) — only if you connect your account to one of those assistants, and only what you ask for in the conversation (see section 6).
• If you enable sending surveys by email with your own SMTP credentials, that email is sent through your own email provider — we're not part of that relationship, we simply act as the technical means using the credentials you gave us.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SurvIQ or others.

Besides the emails the service needs (confirmation, security, payments), we may send you SurvIQ news and offers only if you opt in: the sign-up checkbox is unchecked by default and you can change your preference anytime in Settings. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We never use the contact lists you upload for your surveys, or the responses you receive, for this.

AI inside SurvIQ. When you use an AI feature (creating or reviewing a survey, adding questions, translating it, summarizing results, asking questions about your results or categorizing open answers), we send Google (Gemini API) only what that action needs: what you write, the document you attach to create a survey, the survey's text and, to analyze results, that survey's figures and responses. It is optional: it only happens when you press the button.

• Google processes that content only to return the result to us, on the paid Gemini API service, which does not use that data to train or improve its models.
• We never send respondents' email addresses or phone numbers, the files or signatures they uploaded, or your billing data.
• The document you attach to create a survey is used only for that action: we don't store it.
• We store the result in your account (the survey created or translated, the latest summary and the categories for each question) plus a usage record (date, type of action, tokens and amount used) for your quota and credits. "Ask your results" conversations are not stored.

AI assistants (ChatGPT and Claude).You can connect your SurvIQ account to AI assistants such as ChatGPT (by OpenAI) or Claude (by Anthropic) to create, publish and analyze your surveys from a conversation. The connection is optional, you authorize it on a SurvIQ screen, and you can revoke it at any time from the assistant.

• What we receive from the assistant: only what the action you asked for needs (for example, the title and questions of a new survey). We don't receive or store your conversations with the assistant.
• What we send to the assistant: only what you ask for: your list of surveys, their links, a results summary or a survey's responses so it can analyze them. We never send respondents' email addresses or phone numbers, the files or signatures they uploaded, or your billing data.
• What the assistant does with that data: OpenAI or Anthropic process it under their own privacy policies and your settings in that assistant. We recommend reviewing them before connecting SurvIQ.
• The assistant can only see and change the surveys you have access to in SurvIQ, with the same permissions you have on the platform.

None of this changes our commitment: we don't sell your data or your respondents' data, and we don't use it to train artificial intelligence models.

We apply row-level access controls in our database (each account can only access its own data), encryption in transit (HTTPS), and encryption at rest for sensitive credentials like SMTP passwords. No system is 100% foolproof, but we design the platform to minimize unnecessary access to your data.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and credentials within a reasonable timeframe, unless the law requires us to retain certain information (e.g. billing records).

Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Request a portable copy of your data.
• Object to certain uses of your information.

Our infrastructure (Supabase) may process data on servers located outside your country. When this happens, we take reasonable steps to protect your information in line with this policy.

SurvIQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under that age.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or within the platform before they take effect.
