Customer satisfaction surveys for physical and online stores
A customer survey tells you why people come back, why they don’t and what would make them buy more. It works for physical stores, online stores and businesses that sell through both. In the store you can place a QR code at the checkout or on the bag; online, you can send a link with the order confirmation or after delivery. Customers answer from their phone without creating an account, and you see the results in real-time charts.
What to measure
Shopping experience
Whether it was easy to find what they wanted, in the store or on the website, and whether checkout was quick.
Staff service
Friendliness, product knowledge and help with deciding.
Product
Quality, whether it met expectations and whether what they wanted was in stock.
Delivery
Timing, the condition of the package and whether the order arrived complete.
Price
Whether the price feels fair for what they get and how it compares to what they expected to pay.
Repeat purchase and recommendation
Whether they would buy again and recommend you, to track loyalty over time.
Example questions

- 4.Did the product meet your expectations?
- 5.Did your order arrive on time and in good condition?
- 6.How would you rate the value for money?
- 7.How likely are you to recommend us to a friend or family member?
- 8.What product would you like us to carry?

Tips
- Ask about delivery once the order has arrived, not at the time of purchase.
- If you sell in-store and online, add a question about the purchase channel to compare both.
- Ask about the product and the service in separate questions. That way you know whether the issue is what you sell or how you sell it.
- Use the price perception template before changing prices, to understand how much your customers are willing to pay.
- Keep the survey short: 4 to 7 questions are enough for customers to finish it on their phone.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I get my store’s customers to answer?
- Place the QR code where customers have a free moment: in the checkout line, on the receipt or on the bag. A short message explaining what the survey is for helps more people answer.
- Should I run different surveys for my physical and online store?
- It helps. In the store, service and tidiness matter; online, the website, payment and delivery matter. You can keep the same base and change the questions for each channel.
- When should I send the survey after an online purchase?
- A few days after delivery, once the customer has used the product. If you ask earlier, you only learn how the purchase went.
- Can I measure what my customers think about prices?
- Yes. There is a price perception template (from the Basic plan) and a free price sensitivity calculator on the site to analyze the answers.
- How much does it cost?
- SurvIQ has a free plan with ready-made templates. The QR code is created when you publish the survey.
